Even though the StreetArt Festival in 2021 had to be postponed due to the restrictions caused by the Corona pandemic, the city was able to enjoy colorful street painting. Read more
In 2020, the StreetArt Festival had to be cancelled due to the pandemic situation in Germany and the world. To bring a little color into the city anyway, the artists Adry del Rocio and Ruben Poncia, both were repeatedly among the award winners of the Wilhelmshaven festival for many years, designed two murals.
2019 not only celebrated the 9th edition of the International StreetArt Festival, but also the 150th birthday of the city of Wilhelmshaven. Read more
For the eighth edition of the festival, 33 artists traveled to Wilhelmshaven. On the Valoisplatz, the artist Gregor Wosik and his team, consisting of Marion Ruthard, Melina Berg, Wilfried Berg and Kerim Musanovic created a bridge that crossed the Valoisplatz. Read more

For the 6th International StreetArt Festival, 39 artists traveled to the Jade City for the street painters' competition. This year, for the first time, artists from Turkey, Pakistan and Nepal were among the participants. For the fifth edition of the festival, 36 artists traveled to Wilhelmshaven to compete in the street painting competition. A new nation this time was an artist from Bosnia & Herzegovina. For the first time, a woman from Wilhelmshaven is also among the participating artists. Read more

For the third edition of the festival 29 artists from 10 countries came to the festival to participate in the competition. For the first time this year, the participants included artists from Great Britain, Croatia, Ukraine and Peru. Read more

The first International StreetArt Festival took place on August 6 & 7, 2011. After Michael Diers, then managing director of Radio Jade, had set the ball rolling, the event team of Wilhelmshaven Touristik & Freizeit GmbH developed a concept for the event. At that time, nobody had any idea that the idea would develop into a series of events with international appeal for Wilhelmshaven. Read more
