From July 31 to August 2, 2026, the third Spray-WATT Graffiti Festival took place in Wilhelmshaven in cooperation with the established international street art festival. More than 70 graffiti artists continued to beautify the parking garage on Peterstraße, across from the former city hall complex, with their creative works.
The 2026 SprayWatt Festival was organized by Daniel Treptow, Kristof Willig, and Yety. Yety, who had only recently wrapped up his “Graffiti ” exhibition in Wilhelmshaven, contributed to the project as an artist while also playing an integral role behind the scenes in the organization. Once again, the International Street Art Festival and the SprayWatt Festival together formed a cohesive overall concept for the festival weekend. The SprayWatt Festival was thus an integral part of the extensive arts and culture program taking place in the city that weekend. For the largest project to date at the parking garage, a scaffold approximately 110 meters long and up to 14 meters high was erected at the rear of the building. Visitors were able to watch the artists at work and witness firsthand how a huge, continuous graffiti mural took shape within just a few days. Once the work is complete, visitors will be able to walk all the way around the parking garage and experience it from the outside as an outdoor art gallery. The Wilhelmshaven Graffiti Parking Garage is already well known far beyond the city limits. Artists, photographers, and graffiti enthusiasts travel from all over Germany and abroad to view the large-scale murals.
