In the fourth year of the festival, 36 artists took part in the competition. For the first time, artists from Russia and Japan were also represented.
On Valoisplatz, the experiences from the previous year were taken up again and the 3D image was designed together with the body painting team around Jörg Düsterwald. In addition, the picture was extended by a several meters high wooden wall at the head end of the picture by another dimension. Part of the body painting models were integrated directly into the picture, whereby they merged so strongly with the background that they could only be recognized by the viewer when looking very closely.
In the supporting program of the festival, some Wilhelmshaven women showed another kind of art in public space: urban knitting. The ladies knitted in everything they could get their hands on, and so, in addition to some trees on the Rambla in Bahnhofstraße, a beach chair and a bicycle were given a cozy garment. In the NordseePassage, the Italian hand painter Guido Daniele showed his art and amazed the visitors with his "handimals", in which he transformed hands and forearms into animals through hyper-realistic painting.
As a little surprise, "Addidarth & Lord Vader" paid a visit to the festival and provided much amusement.
