From August 2 to 4, 2024, the International StreetArt Festival Wilhelmshaven took place for the 12th time in Wilhelmshaven's city center.
In the pedestrian zone and in the NordseePassage, 34 artists from eleven countries laid their colorful and ephemeral works of art at the feet of visitors. From imaginative motifs to astonishingly real
From imaginative motifs to amazingly real depictions, the entire spectrum of street painting was presented in the three categories "Copy", "3D" and "Free Art".
This year, visitors to Valoisplatz were greeted by an oversized 3D work by street painting luminary Edgar Müller. With his many years of experience, he had filled Valoisplatz with a
Valoisplatz with a gigantic and impressive work of art.
On the Rambla in Bahnhofstrasse, the creative studio and the Street Fun Game Zone invited visitors young and old to join in. The live body painting that took place here on Saturday and Sunday was also a particular eye-catcher. The Children & Youth StreetArt Festival was also held here for young up-and-coming artists, giving children and young people the opportunity to try out their creativity.
The International StreetArt Festival was perfectly complemented this year by the first Spray-WATT Graffiti Festival. More than 70 graffiti artists embellished the parking garage in Peterstraße opposite the former Stadthalle complex with their creative works.
Renowned international graffiti artists such as Bates from Denmark and Loomit from Germany presented their impressive works at the Spray-WATT Graffiti Festival. Talented female artists such as Foxy and CHY brought additional diversity to the festival with their unique styles. Local artists such as Skore76 and Chekone showed their art alongside the international greats in Wilhelmshaven. Accompanied by four DJs, the festival offered a comprehensive cultural experience with an impressive variety of graffiti artworks.
The program was rounded off by an open Sunday and a fashion exhibition on the 1st floor of the NordseePassage.
