Solveig van Wijngaarden is a Dutch artist, living in The Hague. She is Dutch but her first name is Norwegian and pronounced as: Sue-Way, her nickname is Sue.
She loves to paint murals and portraits of people and animals. Self-taught, 5 years fulltime artist, colorful, versatile and eager to learn. Open to new experiences and collaborations. She loves creating dynamic and colorful images that make people smile. She also loves (and studied) musical theatre. Her theatrical background shines through in her artwork, where she works with bold colors, emotions and stories.
From 2019 till 2021 she lived and painted on the Caribbean island Bonaire. Here she was inspired by the colors of the island and the beautiful people.
Now back in The Netherlands, she is finding her way as a fulltime artist among the great and awesome ‘competition’/colleagues. She'd love to meet more fellow artists and share inspiration and knowledge.
