José de Jesús Méndez López is from the municipality of León in Guanajuato. The 30-year-old has always had art in his life and has been exploring it on his own since childhood. He officially began his artistic career in 2020, working with various techniques such as oil painting, pastels, and digital illustration.
His work is characterized by the fusion of classical art with pop culture references, as well as by the inclusion of numerous figures and details in his paintings that can only be discovered upon closer inspection. Since 2021, he has participated in national and international Madonnari art festivals, totaling 40 events to date; of these, 27 took place in cities across Mexico and 13 in countries such as the United States, Germany, Italy, and Switzerland.
