Giulia Monzani is a 24 year old Italian artist living in Bergamo. She graduated in Graphic Arts at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan in 2022 and since then she has been fascinated by illustration, etching and xilography, and by all printing techniques in general. She is also involved in mural painting, installations and is interested in fiber arts such as crochet, knitting and embroidery. She first became aware of the art of Madonnaris when she was 15, as a spectator at the national meeting of the Madonnari di Grazie. Since 2015, she has participated in all editions of this festival and in 2018 she won third prize in the simple Madonnari category. In 2019, she took part in the Wine Street Art Festival in Gonnheim, the Blumberg Street Art Festival, the Grazie Festival again and the Chalk Festival in Venice. In 2023, she won first prize and became Maestra Madonnara. Madonnara for the famous Vanity Fair magazine in Milan and she reproduced the cover of Madonna - the icons issue.
