Floya Jam, whose real name is Jamila Garcia, has a degree in painting, graphic design and decoration, a baccalaureate in graphic communication and preparation for the BTS Visual Communication.
Her experience gained in the field of children's animation and in the context of her accompaniment in setting up a business has enabled her to be awarded the Talent des Cités prize (Emergence category) and the Coup de Cœur (Jury Talents de la Culture) Marseille 2013.
She discovered street painting by chance in 2011 on the Place d'Arme in Toulon during the 2nd F.I.S.T.P. (the only street painting festival in France) and successively won the Prix Expression Libre in 2011, 2012 and 2013.
Thanks to these awards, she was able to participate in the Bella Via Festival in Monterey, Mexico, in 2013 and come into contact with one of the largest gatherings of artists on the South American continent, which introduced her to new techniques that are reflected in some of her works.
2015 was an eventful year: in addition to the F.I.S.P.T. audience award in Toulon, she won second place in the "Fine Art" category at her fourth participation in the International Festival in Wilhelmshaven and finally first place in the "Fine Art" category in 2016.
Her art is a tasteful blend of colors and silky shapes that captivate you in a mysterious way. Inspired by a touch of Mendhi art, soft and colorful floral artwork
