Dawn created her first street art piece back in 1988 at the “I Madonnari” festival in Santa Barbara and immediately fell in love with this classic art form. Since then, she has appeared at festivals around the world, won numerous awards, and her chalk art has been used for advertising and marketing purposes. Dawn's street art has evolved: from classic reproductions that pay homage to both the Italian roots of this art form and her own heritage, to contemporary works that play with perspective, utilizing the three-dimensional relationship between the viewer and the pavement.
She is most proud of her selection as a Featured Artist at the 2022 I Madonnari Festival in Santa Barbara, as well as the awards she won at the 2023 Grazie di Curtatone Festival in Italy, the 2024 StreetArt Festival in Wilhelmshaven, Germany, and the 2025 International Festival in Wil-SG, Switzerland.
Like many of her Renaissance role models, Dawn has spent her life bridging the worlds of art and science. She minored in art while earning degrees in physics and engineering, and continued to travel to festivals even as she worked in the aerospace, semiconductor, and modern inspection and imaging industries.
