A unique Japanese Madonnara, Canaco Matsumoto, based in Tokyo, Japan. She fell in love with street painting almost by accident when she went to Florence to study interior design and joined the Madonnari association there in 2006. Since then, she has put all her inspiration into creating her original street paintings.
Shortly after returning to Japan in 2008, she began to explore the possibilities of street painting in Japan. She has been invited to exhibit her street paintings in more than 70 cities, some of which invite her back every year. She also organizes events to give children the opportunity to paint on the street and some children find their art in it.
Since 2017, she has been traveling around the world again and participating in many festivals in Europe, the US and Australia after having a hard time making it in Japan. She now tries to express her life experience, as a Japanese artist, and convey the message through her art modestly and powerfully and the main thing of her painting is still the common beauty as a public painting based on the artistry of Madonnari.
