Brittany has been described as “a chemical engineer who chalks on the weekends”. She spends her workweek conducting research and her weekends covered in chalk dust. No matter if it’s in the lab or on the pavement, Brittany is happiest when she’s putting her hands to work!
Brittany enjoys creating art that features lots of color and stark contrasts. She’s often inspired by animals, nature scenes, and fantastical concepts. These themes have carried through much of Brittany’s chalk art and have helped create some of her favorite street art memories. While pastel chalk is definitely her preferred medium, some of Brittany’s other work features colored pencil, gouache or acrylic paint, or digital illustration.
When she’s not in the lab or traveling between chalk events, Brittany spends her time reading, going on walks with her dog, and spending time with friends and family. Some of her favorite things in life include hot cups of Earl Grey, sleeping cats, and independent bookstores.
