Wilfried Berg was born in Medebach in 1959. He grew up in Medebach and went to school there. During this time he was already interested in painting. After graduating from school, he did an apprenticeship as a telecommunications electrical engineer and there was hardly any time left for painting.
In 1999 he consciously saw the first street painters in Medebach. He was fascinated by the works of art that were being created on the streets. The then 5-year-old daughter, Melina Berg painted there on the competition. From now on, his daughter Melina painted every year and won her first place at the street painters festival in 2001. Since 2007 she has also participated in national and international street painting and pavement painting competitions in Germany and Holland.
Since he as a father drove his daughter to the competitions and these went over 2 days, Melina said: "Dad you can also paint, get yourself chalk and start painting". Wilfried got some chalk and just started painting. Since then, he has been doing street painting as a hobby and has already won a few prizes.
In 2012 he flew to Italy for the first time to participate in the Traditional International Madonnari Festival in Grazie. Year after year Wilfried participates in National and International Street Painting Festivals all over Europe.
Besides classical street painting, he also learned the technique of 3D street painting. Wilfried also collaborates with other street painters on larger projects.
