Ignacio de Jesús Chávez Salinas is a Mexican artist currently studying Visual Arts and Plastic Arts at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Querétaro in Mexico. At the age of 22 he participated in more than 20 joint exhibitions in Querétaro, Guadalajara, Mexico, San Miguel de Allende and San Luis de la Paz. He excelled in various competitions between universities and thereby earned first places at regional and supra-regional level and also at national and international Madonnari festivals. In 2016, he was approved by the Santiago Carbonell Foundation for the Madrid-Rome-Paris Travel Grant. In 2017 he was a scholarship holder in the Carol Rolland Foundation. He is experiencing a stage of painterly experimentation, his work on surrealism and symbolism, themes such as self-portraits and ironic depictions of various contemporary and current themes. His work never separates from realistic painting and a precise technique.
